Custom domain

Only in Pro plan

Custom domains are available only on the Pro plan.

Customer Voice can run on your own hostname, for example feedback.your-company.com, instead of the built-in Customer Voice domain.

How it works

Customer Voice lets you connect a custom hostname from the app settings. Once the DNS records are added and validated, your public portal can be served from that hostname.

This is useful when you want:

  • a fully branded public feedback portal
  • a domain that matches your product or website
  • a customer-facing URL you control

Setup

  1. Click Configure next to Custom domain in Customer Voice settings.

Custom domains

  1. Enter the hostname you want to use. We currently support third-level domains only, for example feedback.your-company.com.
  2. Customer Voice will add the domain to our system through Cloudflare and show the DNS records you need to attach the domain.

DNS records

We provide two records: CNAME and TXT.

  1. Click Validate. Validation usually takes a few minutes. You can click the button multiple times, close the window, and come back later.
  2. Once validation is complete, your portal will be available under that hostname. The built-in domain will redirect to your custom domain.

HTTPS and TXT record

We provide an HTTPS certificate for your custom domain and manage its renewal.

Keep this TXT record in your DNS and do not remove it after validation. It is required for HTTPS certificate.

Remove a custom domain

If you no longer want to use your custom hostname:

  1. Open Custom domain in Customer Voice settings.
  2. Click a button with trach icon next to the custom domain input.
  3. Confirm the removal.

After removal, the portal stops using the custom hostname and can fall back to the built-in Customer Voice domain.

You can also remove the related DNS records from your provider once the custom domain is no longer in use.

If your Pro plan ends

If your Pro subscription ends, the custom domain stops being used and the portal can fall back to the built-in Customer Voice domain.
